City of Marquette Arts & Culture Center presents the fifth annual City of Marquette Art Week, June 24-29! Art Week features local artists, arts organizations, and businesses coming together to put on a week-long series of special arts and cultural events, concerts, workshops, performances, exhibits, and demonstrations.

Piet Mondrian-Inspired Mural by the Marquette Artist Collective

Northern Lights Glass, 412 N Third St. Art Week celebrated Dutch painter Piet Mondrian (1872-1944), a pioneer of 20th-century abstract art famous for using the three primary colors (red, yellow, and blue) and two primary directions (horizontal and vertical). For over 100 years Mondrian has influenced art, architecture, design, and fashion. This project, a Mondrian-inspired mural produced by the Marquette Artist Collective, will transform a dated garage on Third Street into a work of art. Stop by throughout Art Week to see the progress!

Rosewood Walkway: Art Installation

Rosewood Walkway, S Front St. The Rosewood Walkway has become an iconic space for amazing art installations during Marquette’s summer months. Year after year, the Downtown Development Authority has teamed up with partners including Vast Insurance Agency to transform this pocket of Downtown Marquette into a breathtaking scene. Every year brings a new surprise – what’s to come this year? Stop by during Art Week to find out!
