North 3rd Street & West Washington Street

There's no better way to start your trip to Marquette than with the welcoming mural on North 3rd Street and West Washington Street. The gorgeous color and scenery of the mural are an excellent way to start your day in town. Located off a main thoroughfare of Marquette, this essential stop is hard to miss!

Pro Tip:

Check out the mural and if it’s a Saturday morning during the summertime, turn around to find yourself at the Marquette Farmer's Market!

Superior Culture

My first time at a kombucha cafe! Superior Culture has a variety of kombuchas, lemonades, and some alcoholic beverages (beer, cider) to enjoy in the cozy, homey (literally in a former house) space. The knowledgeable and inviting staff are great at making recommendations, there is a large patio for warmer days, and the kombucha itself was delicious- my favorite was apple chai!

Pro Tip:

Check out the many events happening at Superior Culture! Trivia, live music, pizza and ice cream on the back patio!

North 3rd Street & West Ohio Street

Take in more of the amazing street art of Marquette off of North 3rd Street and West Ohio Street with the "Natural" mural. Featuring a depiction of the Lake Superior shore, regional wildlife, flora, flauna, and a woman standing in her natural beauty. The realism of this mural as well as the varied aspects across painting make it worth a close up visit!

Pro Tip:

This street has many restaurants and businesses to visit! It's worth a walk up and down the street!

Blossom Bird Bubble Tea

Blossom Bird Bubble Tea has a delicious menu of boba teas and other drinks and also serves teriyaki (my favorite was the vanilla custard!). As you walk in, you are immersed in a uniquely decorated cafe with a wall of charming trinkets as well as toys and collectibles from popular video games, shows, and anime. The staff are friendly, there is something delicious for everyone, and I enjoyed finding characters I recognized between the various plants and decor.

Pro Tip:

Check out the macarons and specialty flavors near the register before you order!

LoyalTees Custom Apparel

LoyalTees is an incredible Marquette business that specializes in using artist designs to screen print on shirts, sweatshirts, pants, onesies, the variety is huge! Designs specialize in highlighting nature and unique places like Presque Isle, the Ore Dock, and Lake Superior. Choose your shirt, choose your design, and leave with an incredible souvenir from your time in Marquette. Before you leave, be sure to check out my favorite mural in Marquette - "Evolve & Stay Involved" on the side of the building. The message of unity, working together, and building community is felt with this mural as well as with the staff at LoyalTees.

Pro Tip:

Walk up the hill at Father Marquette Park for a great view of the "Evolve & Stay Involved" mural!

Ore Dock Brewing Co.

Ore Dock Brewing Co is a brewery that has something for everyone! A huge variety of craft beer, wine, seltzer, and more times than not, a food truck! Ore Dock is a must stop for craft beer lovers and they have a huge space for larger parties. The upstairs is massive! They have an incredibly friendly staff, great merchandise, and events throughout the week.

Pro Tip:

Get a flight to try a variety of beers! While I usually stick to IPAs, I'm glad I tried the staff recommendations and even brought some home!
