What sets the Ore to Shore apart from other bike races in Marquette County?  The trail. As the Midwest’s largest point-to-point mountain bike race, most of the Ore to Shore is mapped out on private land. That means the only day to ride these trails is race day (Aug. 12). So, while the Ore to Shore doesn’t utilize the 100 plus miles of singletrack we have, it’s unique in the sense that only participating riders will get to sneak a peek at terrain that is typically off limits to the public. That being said, the O2S course is super scenic and biker-friendly. Whether you’re up for conquering the challenging Hard Rock 48 course, including the notorious “Misery Hill” (400m of rocky uphill climb) or you’re in it for the scenic Soft Rock 10, you don’t wanna miss out on the chance to ride along the extensive streams, inland lakes, vistas, and historic landmarks that make Marquette County home to the best Mountain Biking in the Midwest. We should mention, this race isn’t just for moms and dads— If your tykes are into bikes, there are a few O2S options for them too—including the Junior Rock, Little Rock, and Littlest Rock.   Last-minute Register *There is NO race day registration for Hard, Soft, Shore, and Junior Rocks.
