Marquette MI Fall Colors

Fall color in the U.P. is frequently voted the best in the U.S. by USA TODAY 10Best Readers' Choice Awards. Peak foliage sweeps across the Upper Peninsula from west to east, starting inland and moving toward the shores of Lake Superior.

In Marquette County, the West End typically peaks during the last week of September and the first week of October, while the city of Marquette peaks a week or two later.
