Office Manager
Position Purpose:
The Office Manager is responsible for the office management as well as financial coordination with Travel Marquette’s outside accounting firm. Filing and record keeping.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coordinate bills and communications with the outside accounting firm.
- Coordinate staff expenses.
- Coordinate communications as requested by the CEO.
- Organize and archive files, records and board information.
- Prepare monthly packets for Board of Directors meetings and assemble in binders.
- Provide administrative support as needed for Staff and the CEO.
- Assist in greeting visitors, answering phones and emails.
- Maintain the office and order supplies.
- Maintain TravelMarquette.com’s events calendar.
- Process and prepare the Board of Directors bi-annual events applications by compiling binders.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Supervision: The position reports directly to the CEO.
Preferred Education/Knowledge:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Experience in lieu of degree will be considered.
- 2 years’ experience in financial and office management.
- General use of computers, office software programs and internet.
- English usage, spelling, grammar and punctuation.
- Establishing and maintaining effective cooperative working relationships with staff, residents, external organizations and business leaders.
- Organize work, schedule and complete multiple tasks in a timely manner. Work independently in the absence of supervision.
- Ability to meet required deadlines.
Physical Ability:
- Must be able to sit for extended periods of time, bend, stoop and reach.
- Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds on an occasional basis.
- Valid Michigan driver’s license or the ability to attain one.
- Must be legally employable in the U.S.
Status: Non-Exempt, Full-time (40 hours a week)
